  1. When Covid first became a thing it had a huge impact on my life because I worked in Health care at the time as a pharmacy technician. I worked on the manufacturing side where we manufactured the drugs. So Covid was huge! Not only, but it also affected everyday life. Wearing a mask, 2-week quarantine.

  3. Covid interrupted my high school year. It caused me to not be able to see my friends for a very long time. It interrupted my track season and basically canceled it altogether after training all winter. My sister didn't get to have her prom or graduation and she was upset for most of the year which made everyone else in our family upset.

    1. I can imagine that must have been tough to miss out on time with your friends. How are things going for you and your family now? Did you sister get to do something special in place of prom?

  4. Covid took away a lot from my high school career, including sports, prom, pep rallies, and a lot of other things. I had to make the most of what I had but it was still very sad to not have those experiences. Since I graduated from high school, nothing is different other than the fact that I have to wear a mask when at some places.

  5. Prior to the pandemic, I was dancing 40 hours a week. Dance was my passion, however, once covid hit, all my classes were closed, and I unfortunately never returned to the sport. I was working to make a living out of it and become a backup dancer, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I have new goals now, and while I wonder what life would be like if I were still dancing, I'm excited to embark on my new career goals:)

  6. The covid pandemic affected everyone in negative and positive ways in my opinion. For example, while I was quarantined I did miss my family and friends and really only spent my time at home with my pets, but all you can do in that situation is make the best of it. I remember I did a lot of self care like reading, taking baths, facials, hair masks etc. and I really spent my time alone relaxing and taking care of myself. I also had time to finish so many projects around the house that I had always been meaning to do but didn't have time. I organized and deep cleaned my room and kitchen. I got caught up on some netflix shows that I had always been meaning to watch. I really used my time as a getaway and it was actually pretty refreshing. After the two weeks were up I got to see my family again and go back to work feeling renewed.

  7. Covid affected lots of people far worse than me, but it did have a big impact on my life. Covid hit right in the middle of my senior year of high school causing the worst for my class. All the things that inspire high school students to finish were taken away just like that. These include: Freedom, (normal) Graduation, Prom, and much more. Thanks Covid

  8. COVID did not really impact my life all that much. i am an essential worker, so I still had to report to work everyday and perform my job no matter what. the only changes that occurred was having to wear a mask, daily disinfection of high touch surfaces, and morning temperature checks with a health questionnaire. I personally ended up working more during The COVID pandemic that i had before.

  9. When Covid first became a thing it had a huge impact on my life because I worked in a emergency dental clinic at the time . I originally we just worked 3 days a week, when covid hit and every toher dentist office closed we had to open 5 days a week . We saw 45-55 patient a day geeting them out of pan. . So Covid was huge! Not only, but it also affected everyday life. Wearing a mask, 2-week quarantine, having mask and glove shortages. I was a lot.

  10. I have been lucky enough to be in positions that covid had minimal impact on my life. When shut-downs and requiring masks became the popular thing to do, I was working in a machine shop where I did not have to interact with co-workers. When I did interact with co-workers or my boss, it was usually to holler across the shop to ask to borrow a tool, and it did not require being up close and personal with anyone. I had my own place, working second shift, and did not spend time with anyone outside for 2019 though fall of 2021. I have only flown with a mask twice (both times for work contracting purposes), and now hat the mandate for masks on planes has been lifted, there is even less impact on what my day-to-day looks like.

  11. Covid took away a year or so of high school and playing sports. I had to quarantine a lot from close contact at school. Things still don't feel normal since Covid.

    1. COVID definitely made life ten times harder, my junior year in college was difficult for me. All my classes were now on zoom and it was a big change rather than being in person with my instructor and having that in person feeling without a mask

  12. Covid has changed my life in so many ways. The biggest was, in the beginning of the pandemic, I was living in a very unhealthy environment. One of my family members had been in contact with somebody who tested positive, and I made the quick decision to leave home and move in with my fiance in an attempt to shield myself from the virus. The rest of my old housemates did get covid, but because of my decision I was able to not get it. That was the push that I needed to move out, and be independent. This was also the decision I made to put myself and my health first, and remove myself from a toxic environment. Life has been hard since I moved out, but my mental health has never been better. So in a way, covid has been very difficult to get through, but it has also pushed me to be better, and to love myself more.

  13. Being a high school student throughout the Covid-19 pandemic was mentally exhausting. I was expected to quickly adapt to learning online and became increasingly overwhelmed with more coursework than I would usually have. As challenging as being a virtual student was, I grew to like it. It was much harder to do my best in traditional ways of learning, given there were many distractions, toxic classmates, and bombardment of material at paces that oftentimes felt too fast. As the pandemic progressed, I found it so much easier to work on assignments on my own time, and I even had the opportunity to start working a job with any extra time I had. Fast forward to present day as a student in 2022, I am still in online school. However, this time, I chose to continue virtual learning for myself and view it as one of the greatest positive outcomes of the pandemic for me.

  14. Covid has impacted my life greatly. In the start of 2019 I was planning on travelling to another school to play volleyball, and study to become something "great" like a doctor or a lawyer. I was maintaining a 4.0, and practicing my sport. When the pandemic began I was able to start working, I was not in school, and volleyball had come to a halt, both of which were the definition of my life for years. I started working 2 separate jobs, and volleyball was no longer an option as colleges adapted policies to keep athletes a fifth year, they didn't need anyone from my class my senior year. I have been faced with my entire plan being scrapped, and I have been faced with a crisis as to what I value and what I wish to pursue. I am thankful for the person I am becoming, but I am constantly unsteady when faced with a lack of a future.

  15. Living in the south, the worst part of covid was wearing a mask. I was afraid of my daughter or me forming an asthma. After learning the severity of pandemic I made it a daily priority to not allow it to let it deteriorate our mental or physical health. We consistently followed federal guidelines and at some point I was actually afraid to leave home and did not accept any company. Our safety was taken up another notch to protect us and not become one of the ''numbers''. Changing is work and school schedules were taken one day at a time. I just wanted to do my best keeping my household safe as usual and also not contributing to any problems covid can bring. Like anyone else I will be glad to see the pandemic become and endemic.

  16. When the Covid 19 pandemic happened, I was already pretty isolated. My child was only a couple of months old and I was a stay at home mom during that time, living in a different state with no family or close friends near by. So it did not effect me in the very beginning. But when several months passed and we moved to South Carolina it started to take a toll on me. I wanted to go out and meet new people, make mom friends and have friends for my little one. I also wanted to explore South Carolina and see what it has to offer but was very hesitant since I did not want to get my family sick. My mother lives overseas and was not allowed to visit me but I was finally able to see her, thanks to the vaccine and the lifting of mandates!

  17. Covid has definitely impacted my life in a major way. Working in the medical field we are definitely under staff and having to work way harder in more stressful situations than ever. More time away from home and family and friends.

  18. Covid disrupted life as we knew it for billions of people around the world. Almost overnight, people had to adjust to lockdowns, social distancing, working and learning from home. Many lost their jobs or faced pay cuts due to the economic fallout of the pandemic. People realized how precious time with family and friends is and began prioritizing human connections over material things. The pandemic highlighted the importance of basic medical necessities like masks, sanitizers and vaccines, things that were previously taken for granted. Though the crisis continues, many people have emerged with a newfound sense of gratitude, resilience and community spirit.

  19. I feel as though Covid hasn't just affected me but the whole world. I have noticed that my life is very different than it was before Covid. I experienced a very contrasting last two high school years. Also, wearing a mask was something that was very weird at first and then just became normal. In addition, technology has also advanced a lot. Overall, Covid was something that was a different experience for everyone.

  20. During Covid, I was considered an "essential worker." I am a dialysis technician and during this time, I seen too many people die and it put me in a very depressive state. People were passing away by the week, there was no age limit on it, and it was a place I've never been in before. We were losing people who you would least expect to die from this disease. To be honest, I know there were a lot of people who lost their jobs, and I'm grateful to have had mines during that time, but it put me in a very dark place for a very long time. It took awhile to heal from the impact Covid 19 left on me, on the world.
