I have been told that I lack emotional intelligence in the past. I think when I was younger in my high school years, I had a certain mindset that lacked empathy and understanding for others challenges. Now that I have aged, met many people, seen different parts of the world, and have been married, I have developed a better understanding of others feelings. I think the key benefits of having emotional intelligence are being able to be a good partner or friend, being a better parent, and being able to relate and be there for people when they are upset ot need someone.

I personally wish i could turn my feelings off, I'm so aware of people's feelings and energies a little too much I forget about mine and what I feel and care about.

Emotional intelligence also improves relationships, social interactions, and a better understanding of your own emotions. I think the ability to identify and process your own feelings is extremely beneficial.

As I have grown older, I have learned from past experiences to empathize with others and consider their feelings and perspectives, just as I would like some to do with me. It helps build a better bond while teaching yourself that other people's feelings and mine matter, even if we disagree on certain aspects.

Me having emotional intelligence really helps me understand people even more to understand their experiences of what a person going through their life and what challenges they had to face. And having that ability will be an extreme importance to my future career goals and for me to stive and to help others.
I believe that emotional intelligence is very important for maintaining relationships on both a personal and professional level. If you have a high EQ, you are better at managing your emotions. You are typically a more level headed and fair person. You also have a higher level of empathy. Having this great control and empathy helps when dealing with people. As a leader, I have to work with a variety of people from different background and cultures. Being able to understand what motivates and influences them is key to my success. If I didn't have a strong EQ I would never have been able to achieve the success that I have. As I am working toward a career change, my hope is a well developed EQ will give me an edge in my new career.

You can’t cope with happiness or anger the same way you cooe with sadness or fear.

Extra Credit 2025 Fight and Flight everyday at my Jobs suffer my nerves and impulsive are really bad. Fight and Flight is condation were you on a threat to survival to escape. Your nervous system telling your brain you in danger. After begin to act out to the enviroment.

Lack of emotional intelligence is something I grew up seeing a lack of with my father. His communication and lack of empathy was never unnoticed. Even how he had situations and didn't know how to control himself showed a lack of emotional intelligence. How he responded to situations and communicated is something I recall my mother always working on with him. He didn't care how others felt but his feelings were always top priority. But I have seen growth other years. Aging and maturing, he views things differently. And his response is milder.
